Key Team Members

SATINDER DHILLON
Satinder Dhillon was named Senior Vice President of Operations in January 2019. Mr. Dhillon is responsible for Operations for all IHML hotels. In Canada, prior to joining InnVest Hotels, he was with Westmont Hospitality Group, Larco Hospitality, and Commonwealth Hospitality, managing the Radisson Ottawa, which he converted to the Marriott Ottawa, and the Renaissance Toronto Skydome Hotel. His forty years of international experience includes assignments in India, Iraq and Canada.
Mr. Dhillon started his management career in hospitality at the Oberoi Inter Continental in New Delhi. During his time with the Oberoi Hotels Group he was chosen to be part of the opening team of four Five Star luxury properties in the Middle East which included the Al Rasheed Hotel in Baghdad. He became the General Manager of the Ninevah Oberoi Hotel in Mosul, and had regional responsibility for the Oberoi Hotels in Iraq.
Mr. Dhillon has a strong commitment to the hospitality industry and has served with Ottawa Tourism and Convention Authority as Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairman Tourism Committee. He has been a member of the Radisson Franchise Advisory Committee and on the board of the Hotel Association of Canada. He is currently on the IHG Owners Association Canada Committee and the Humber College B.Com. Advisory Committee. Mr. Dhillon graduated from Oberoi School of Hotel management and has a Bachelors of Commerce (Hons). He has attended the Advanced Management Hospitality Program at Guelph University.

Janice Eastman
Janice Eastman was named Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing in January 2019. Since transitioning into hospitality Ms. Eastman has taken on progressive roles as Director of Sales, Regional Sales Manager, and Regional Director of Sales. She is a strategic leader in corporate rebranding and repositioning, expertly deploying teams and driving topline revenue. Closing business for the last 25 years, she has developed a keen sense of the Canadian markets. Ms. Eastman has been an active member of Ottawa Tourism, MPI, CSAE, Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, and Communities in Bloom. Born and raised in Montreal, Ms. Eastman graduated from Concordia University with a focus in Travel and Tourism, and shortly thereafter relocated to Ottawa to begin her career at a locally owned tour wholesaler. Ms. Eastman came to InnVest from Westmont Hospitality Group.

Joyce Godbout
Joyce Godbout was named Regional Director of Operations in May 2020. Ms. Godbout joined InnVest after spending the previous five years as General Manager of the Delta by Marriott Trois-Rivieres Conference Center. Prior to joining InnVest, Ms. Godbout worked for Westmont Hospitality Group for over 15 years as Assistant General Manager and General Manager at both the Comfort Inn Trois Rivieres and Comfort Inn Baie-Comeau. Ms. Godbout also brings experience successfully managing extensive renovation and expansion projects, and is bilingual in English and French. Ms. Godbout holds multiple Post-Secondary Certificates in Administration and Human Resources from the Université du Québec à Rimouski, in addition to Executive Leadership certificates from eCornell University.

Kristine Dempster
Kristine Dempster was named Regional Director of Operations in January 2019. Ms. Dempster has over 30 years of progressive hospitality management experience in both branded and independent environments, working various roles in restaurant operations, catering, sales, marketing, and hotel operations. Ms. Dempster has sat on multiple industry associations including as the President of Kanata’s Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Ottawa Gatineau Hotel Association, and as a member of both the Board of the Ontario Restaurant Hotel & Motel Association, and Ottawa Tourism.

Kyle Nantais
Kyle Nantais was named Vice President of Revenue Management in January 2019. With over 25 years of hospitality experience, Mr. Nantais leverages a brand-centric approach to field-level insight with e-commerce and revenue management initiatives. Effectively managing distribution channels to ensure financial optimization and net RevPAR profitability, Mr. Nantais leads a brand specialized team of experts encompassing all aspects of property driven revenue management. Currently, he actively holds positions as Treasurer/Member at Large for the Choice Canada Franchisee Advisory board. Previous roles include member of HSMAI Revenue Executive Round Table and IAHI Book Direct Advisory Council. Mr. Nantais came to InnVest from Westmont Hospitality Group, and is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario.

Marcelo Tomazo
Marcelo Tomazo was named InnVest’s Regional Director of Operations in January 2019. Over the last 30 years, Mr. Tomazo has been promoted through multiple General Manager and Regional leadership positions in the hospitality industry. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Mr. Tomazo has developed strong relationships with all of his associates and takes pride in his proven ability to nurture his employees’ trajectories from entry level through leadership roles. Mr. Tomazo came to InnVest from Westmont Hospitality Group.

Richard O’Beirne
Richard O’Beirne was named Regional Director of Operations in January 2019. Mr. O’Beirne has over 40 years of hotel experience across branded and independent hotels. He completed his hospitality training at Fitzpatrick’s Castle Hotel in Dublin, learning all the nuances of upscale hotel service. He moved to Canada in the early eighties and took successive hospitality management positions in several Canadian cities, before assuming his first InnVest General Manager Role at a Holiday Inn in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2005. He subsequently moved to a GM role in Burlington, Ontario, and in 2015 assumed the role of Regional Director of Operations for Westmont Hospitality Group. Mr. O’Beirne has been active on many industry boards over the years, including OTCA, Hotel Association of Nova Scotia, Hotel Association of Canada, Destination Halifax and Burlington Hotel Association, and has held various Treasurer, VP, President and Chair positions on a number of those associations.
